Senior cycle option bands
In this scenario, the deputy principal gets a first conflict-free set of bands in minutes instead of building them over several weeks. Combinations that cannot be accommodated are identified at the start, so the negotiation with individual students happens once rather than after the bands have already been arranged around them.
Attendance and reporting
Roll call is taken twice daily in the room, and each student's cumulative absence is tracked continuously and flaggedagainst the school's thresholds. A statutory return becomes a report the school runs, and a student approaching a threshold is visible while there is still time to act.
Transition Year and parent contact
TY placements, modules, and trips sit on the same student record as attendance and assessment, so the year is visible across the school and documented afterwards. With attendance, reports, and meeting bookings available to families directly, routine calls to the office give way to the cases that actually need a person.
