Why a timetabling-only plan exists
The usual reason a school does not fix its timetabling is not that it enjoys the two weeks in July. It is that every product offering to fix it also wants to become the system of record for students, attendance, grades and fees — and that is a migration, a retraining programme, and an argument the school does not have the appetite for this year.
So the spreadsheet survives another year. Not because it works, but because the alternative was quoted as an institutional transformation when all anyone wanted was a working timetable.
This plan is the narrow answer. Your existing student information system stays exactly where it is, doing exactly what it does. You are buying a scheduling engine, not a platform — and because there is no student data in it, the decision is genuinely reversible.

When the timetable stops being the biggest problem
A school that has been timetabling in Skoolia for a term has already done the hard part of adoption without noticing. The staff list is accurate, because an inaccurate one produces a broken timetable. Rooms and capacities are recorded. The class structure is modelled. Somebody on the admin team is comfortable in the interface.
So when the conversation turns to attendance or the parent portal, the migration everyone feared has already quietly happened for the half of the data that was hardest to get right. Moving up is a plan change rather than a project: the timetable is not rebuilt, and students are added to classes the system already knows about.
The honest counter-case is worth stating too. If your student system works, your parents are happy, and your only pain is the timetable, stay on this plan. Consolidation for its own sake is not a strategy, and our OneRoster integration exists precisely so schools can keep the system they have.

Can I use Skoolia only for timetabling?
Yes. The AI Timetabling plan covers timetable generation for one school and does not include student management at all. Your existing student information system stays where it is. It is $49 a month or $399 a year, with a 14-day free trial and no card required.
What are the limits?
One school, up to 150 active staff, up to 100 active classes, and 10 active timetable projects. Active means non-archived — archiving a member of staff or a class frees the slot.
Do I have to rebuild my timetable if I upgrade later?
No. Upgrading is a plan change, not a migration. The staff, rooms and classes you set up for timetabling stay exactly as they are, and students are added to the classes the system already knows about.
Which plan should I upgrade to?
It depends on size rather than on ambition. Starter covers 200 students and 25 staff; Professional covers 2000 students and 150 staff. A school already using the 150-staff timetabling limit will usually need Professional rather than Starter.
Does it include the parent portal or messaging?
No. Student management, the parent and student portals, WhatsApp messaging, Najiba, payroll and advanced analytics are on the school plans. AI Timetabling is deliberately scoped to timetabling.
