How to Create and Organize Classes

Set up your class structure, assign teachers, and manage enrollments.

1

Go to Classes

Click "Classes" in the sidebar. You'll see all existing classes organized by grade level.

2

Create a new class

Click "Add Class" and enter the class name (e.g., "Grade 5A"), grade level, maximum capacity, and optional description.

3

Assign a homeroom teacher

Select a teacher from the dropdown to assign as the homeroom or class teacher. This teacher will be the primary contact for that class.

4

Add subject teachers

Go to the class detail page and click "Manage Teachers" to assign subject-specific teachers (e.g., Math teacher, Science teacher).

5

Enroll students

From the class page, click "Add Students" to enroll students. You can search by name or select from the list. Students can also be assigned during import.

6

Set up subjects

Link subjects to the class from the Subjects section. Define weekly hours for each subject — this is used by the AI scheduling engine.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use a consistent naming convention (e.g., "Grade 5A", "Grade 5B") for easy organization.
  • Set realistic class capacities to avoid overbooking.
  • Configure subjects and weekly hours before using AI scheduling.
