Before you start

For Administrators, Teachers, School owners

  • Set up the academic year, terms, classes, subjects and student enrolment.
  • Advanced gradebook and reporting features depend on your school plan and role.

Configure the grading system

In Settings → Academic Structure, check the grading configuration, assessment weights and applicable scale. Review a sample calculation before entering a full term of marks.

Create assignments

Create an assignment for the correct class and subject. Set its type, due date, total marks and assessment treatment. Check whether it is formative or summative before grading.

Enter and check marks

Open the gradebook or assignment grading view for your class. Enter marks against the correct student and assignment, and check save confirmation. Resolve missing or invalid values before relying on summaries.

Review calculated results

Check averages and summaries against the configured weights and scale. An ungraded item and a score of zero mean different things; do not use zero to stand in for missing work without checking the school policy.

Write teacher feedback

Enter your own comments for reports. Write personalised teacher feedback that reflects the student’s work. Keep feedback specific to the student and review it before distribution.

Review report cards before sharing

Open academic reports for the correct term and class. Preview names, marks, grading labels and comments before finalising or distributing. Respect locked reports and use the authorised correction workflow for issued records.

Good practice

  • Agree grading scales and weights before term reporting.
  • Preview a report in the required language and check Arabic layout where applicable.
  • Check the school’s publication process before telling families results are ready.
